Self-hosted solutions
- Iwan Setiawan : Building a FreeBSD Private Cloud Server With Seafile Seahub Server -
- Seafile is a cross-platform self-hosted cloud storage and sync solution. In other words, Seafile is very similar to Dropbox or Google Drive except you have full control over your platform instance. As such, Seafile operates in direct competition with Nextcloud and Owncloud.
Security
- Iwan Setiawan : TOR Network Installation Guide on OpenBSD
- In OpenBSD, TOR refers to The Onion Router, a free and open-source software for enabling anonymous communication over the Internet. It works by routing your internet traffic through a volunteer overlay network consisting of thousands of relays around the world, thereby concealing your location and usage from surveillance and traffic analysis.
- Iwan Setiawan : Implementation Unbound as DNS Over TLS Client And Server on FreeBSD
- DNS Over TLS is used to increase user privacy and security. And also to prevent eavesdropping and manipulation of DNS traffic by MITM (man in the middle) attacks. Even though some browsers such as Firefox, Yandex, Chrome have DNS over HTTPS enabled by default, it only secures the web browser, not your internet connection.
Application Software
- Iwan Setiawan : Build Instructions OBS Studio For GhostBSD - FreeBSD Desktop
- OBS stands for Open Broadcaster Software, a free, open source live video production software supported by a large community of developers from around the world. OBS can be used for live video production, live streaming, and video recording. When you first download and install OBS, the setup wizard will ask if you want to optimize the software for recording or live streaming because OBS has the ability to combine many different audio visual sources into a live video production environment.
